Last week's meeting ended with three decisions and one action: someone has to turn all this into slides for the leadership team.

That someone is usually the person who took the fewest notes.

Soon you'll be able to hand that job to Facilitator in Microsoft Teams. Ask it during the meeting and it builds a PowerPoint deck from what was said, the meeting chat and any files shared. That could be a project update or a readout for senior leaders. Facilitator can already draft Word documents from a discussion, so this takes the same idea into presentations.

It's on the Microsoft 365 (M365) roadmap for general availability in December 2026.

Before you plan around it, a few practical points. Facilitator needs a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence, and it only works in scheduled meetings, so channel meetings and quick calls are out. Its output is stored in the OneDrive of whoever switched it on and is treated as meeting transcript data. If your retention and data protection policies don't cover that yet, now's a good time to check.

The deck will only be as good as the discussion. If a meeting wanders, the slides will wander too. I'd still want a person reading every slide before it goes anywhere near a board or governors.

Would you trust an AI-drafted deck from your last team meeting?
