How this KSB relates to assessment

K9 is mapped to AO4: Communication, collaboration, and stakeholder support.

The supplied assessment plan requires a professional discussion. Assessment organisations choose any additional methods from portfolio, presentation, project, observation, and question and answer. The national plan does not assign each KSB to a fixed assessment method.

Use these portfolio ideas to plan and gather relevant workplace evidence. Check with your training provider and assessment organisation how that evidence will be used, which formats are accepted and what must be demonstrated.

The practice questions are EdTechStuff prompts, not official assessment questions. These examples are not a compulsory evidence checklist or a guarantee of any grade. The national plan's asterisks identify opportunities to develop English and maths, not distinction criteria.

Using evidence safely and honestly

Use real experiences and identify your own contribution. The scenarios here are examples, not experiences to submit as your own. Only retain or share workplace material you are authorised to use. Remove personal and confidential details from records, screenshots and file names.

Where original material cannot be shared, ask your provider about an observation, a specific witness account or a permitted anonymised version. Explain any fictional or reconstructed sample clearly. Do not present it as a record of work you actually completed.

Work within your role, permissions and agreed procedures. Some KSBs may need an additional opportunity arranged with your employer and coach. A job title or routine task does not automatically demonstrate the full KSB.

Sources and version

Checked against the two supplied Skills England PDFs: the occupational standard and assessment plan, both updated 12 August 2026. All 36 standard statements are included. Assessment-outcome references reproduce the mapping in the supplied plan. PDF extraction spacing and obvious character errors have been normalised; source spelling is otherwise retained.

The plain-English explanations, role examples, evidence suggestions and practice questions are EdTechStuff guidance. Draft prepared 23 October 2026. View the Skills England revised standard and assessment plan.

The published version log gives 29 October 2026 as the revised standard's earliest start date. Check which standard version you are enrolled on before using this guidance for assessment planning.
